The General Assembly of the FBE, celebrated on the occasion of its Intermediate Meeting in Wroclaw, on 24th September 2011, has adopted the following declaration,

WHEREAS:

FBE acknowledges the importance of social media and the challenges they bring to lawyers and their clients, and therefore

DECLARES

that in considering the opportunities of use and abuse of social media by lawyers and their clients, all member bars are urged to review their deontological codes to ensure respect of them by their lawyer members.
