The FBE strongly condemns the murder of Mr. Derk Wiersum in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on September 18, 2019.

The FBE expresses its sorrow about the rise in the number of threats and attacks against all members of the legal profession.

It calls upon governments to take all steps necessary to prevent violence against members of the legal profession.
